Guatemala: Landrites

During one of Latin America’s most brutal – and under-reported -- conflicts, Mayan Indians in the Guatemalan highlands were caught in the crossfire between guerrilla forces and the army of dictator and former President Rios Montt.  During his reign, ethnocide and rape were committed against thousands of indigenous peoples. This is collaboration between Interlock Media, Pamela Yates and Thomas Sigel.
