Just in Time

Just in Time offers multiple perspectives on the controversy related to aggressive testing for lung cancer, and its alleged drawbacks. Lung cancer is the leading killer amongst all types of cancer and therefore has a smaller cadre of survivors and advocates than other types of cancer, for instance, breast, prostate, and colon cancers.
The film follows a chance and dramatic coming together of four characters: a survivor and lung cancer philanthropist who believes her life was saved through new non-invasive, early-detection techniques; a researcher who rocks the medical community when she sets out to prove that 80% of lung cancer related deaths can be prevented; a physician who holds the common view that early detection is a dangerous and unnecessary approach to lung cancer and should not be covered by medical insurance; and his daughter, who is currently battling the last stages of the deadly disease.
