Assistant Associate Producer
Description: Interlock Media is a non-profit production company, based in Cambridge, MA, working to promote environmental and social change through film, video, and radio. We have been in the business of making historical, musical, artistic productions for the last 20 years, yet remain on the cutting edge through our use of Digital Video and High Definition technology. We are producing a High Definition documentary called "Faith in the Big House". It is a prison film on high-profile crooks and gangsters turned prison preachers. The style is ethnographic with a focus on the psychological anatomy of spiritual transformations amongst America's huge incarcerated population.
Salary: None
Hours: individual project-basis (30-40 hours each) OR part-time/full-time (preferred)
Qualifications: The Assistant Associate Producer participates in all aspects of fim and media production, including coordination of crews, participation in shoots and production of print materials. The AAP must have excellent communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required:

Associate Producer
We are producing a High Definition

prison preachers. The style is ethnographic with the focus
being the psychological anatomy of spiritual transformations

Producer participates in all aspects of film and media
production, including: Research, writing, Coordination
of crews, participation in shoots, film editing and production
of print materials. Travel is likely.

Hours: required immediately, for
3-4 days per week over 12 weeks

Board of Director Members:
We are currently expanding and diversifying our governing
board. We seek dynamic individuals from a variety of backgrounds
to support our mission and help shape Interlock’s
vision for the future. We are looking for smart, gutsy
people from a variety of fields to join our board of directors.
We value the opinions of our board members; Interlock
has enjoyed an excellent collaborative relationship with
our boards in the past.
Applicants should be able and willing to:
- Attend the majority of our board meetings, usually
four per year. Ideally, board members will be in the
New England area or able to travel here readily.
- Stay involved and accessible, even if it has to
be somewhat periodically. Interlock is fully aware
that our board members have other important commitments.
- Be on the lookout for new project ideas and clients.
- Help access opportunities for fundraising and pro
bono services.
- Your professional expertise with us when needed.
- Define strategies to weather the uncertainties
faced by an organization reliant on project-based
funding.
- Help shape Interlock's vision for the future by
lending your perspective and creativity.
Our current governing board includes Eric Becker of Trillium Asset Management, a leader in socially responsible investing; Dinah Buechner, conservationist and executive producer of films on human rights and spirituality; Doris and Bob Dumond, widely heralded consultants in the world of prison reform; Jeffrey Izzo, entertainment lawyer and entertainer; Bob Nesson, a filmmaker focusing on topics such as urban planning and wildlands conservation; Peter Reilly, CPA, a social rights activist and partner with Carlin, Charron, and Rosen, LLP; Neil Smith, managing partner of Smith O'Brien, a leading consulting and research firm in the field of corporate responsibility; and Peaco Todd, illustrator and educator.
Our active advisory board includes Randy Hayes, founder of the Rainforest Action Network and former filmmaker, and June Cross, professor of documentary filmmaking at Columbia University and former senior producer at “Frontline.” Advisory board member Bob Aaronson serves as our representative to the commercial film industry. Aaronson, formerly an acquisitions and production executive for Twentieth Century Fox Searchlight and New Line Cinema, is now launching the distribution company Prospect Street Pictures. Posternak, Blankstein, and Lund, LLP, provides our corporate counsel. Cinema Guild oversees our domestic distribution, while Charles Schuerhoff Associates, distributor for Ken Burns and pieces for “Frontline,” handles our international distribution.

MA. Candidate may be local, national or international.
This is a non-compensation position at this time. Candidate
will work a minimum of 20 hours/week, full-time preferred.
Must have experience in graphic design and proficiency
